Dr. Traci Thompson

Dr. Traci Thompson is a board-certified internist with a 23-year tenure as a healthcare executive. Dr. Thompson is currently Chief Medical Officer for Humana Healthy Horizons in Florida's Medicaid plan. Dr. Thompson is also founder of Dr. Traci's House Inc., a non-profit organization that aims to improve health equity by empowering the community within the zip codes that correlate with health outcomes. Dr. Traci's House provides personalized and compassionate primary care in the community convenient and accessible. The comprehensive and high-quality programming at Dr. Traci's House includes holistic wellness services, behavioral health, pharmaceutical consultation and nutritional and social support. 


Previously, Dr. Thompson served as Chief Mediecal Director of Medical management at Wellcare Health Plans, Inc. Dr. Thompson obtained her bachelor's degree in chemistry from Georgetown University and earned her Doctorate of Medicine from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, and was inducted into the countrys premier medical honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Thompson completed her internal medicine residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She is also a distinguished member of the inaugural graduating class for Howard University's Executibe MBA program in 2013.


Dr. Thompson has served on various boards and councils including the Florida Community Leadership Board for the American Diabetes Association, the Johns Hopkins Medicine Alumni Association Council and Georgetown University's Board of Regents. Dr. Thompson is known for her dedication, commitment, and passion to serve the most disenfranchised members of society and works tirelessly to ensure everyone has access to quality and effective healthcare.
